Robert Slaughter, President
V-22 Sr. ILS Specialist, Bell Helicopter
Hurst, Texas

Slaughter, a highly decorated Command Pilot with more than 5,000 flying hours, 206 combat missions, and over 2,000 civilian flying hours as pilot and instructor in several aircraft round out an amazing flying career. Today, Slaughter is a Senior Integrated Logistics Specialist for the C/MV-22 Osprey at Bell Helicopter. He is responsible for site integration and supportability for both the Marines and Air Force operational transitions. Slaughter’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts from North Texas State University and a Master of Science in Operational Management from the University of Arkansas. He has also completed all course work and is working on his dissertation for a Doctorate in Applied Training, Technology, and Development from the University of North Texas. Slaughter joined FCEF’s BOD in April 2006.


Dr. Vince Patton, Vice President
Director of Community Outreach, Military Advantage/Monster Worldwide
Alexandria, Virginia

Dr. Patton is the current Director of Community Outreach for Military Advantage, division of Monster Worldwide, the world's largest military membership organization, Military.com. Dr. Patton has over 30 years military service with U. S. Coast Guard and was the eighth Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard in 1998. Vince received his Doctorate of Education degree from American University, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Loyola University at Chicago, a B.S. in Social Work from Shaw College, a B.A. in Communication from Pacific College, and a Master of Theology from the Graduate Theological Union Seminary in Berkeley, CA. He joined FCEF’s BOD in January 2007.


Martha E. “Cisy” Gray, Secretary
Retired
Fort Worth, Texas

Gray completed her degree, receiving a BBA from Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport CT. She became interested in personal financial management while working in an administrative capacity at a local First Command Financial Planning office in Fairfax, VA. Over the next two decades Gray rose through the ranks from administrative assistant to customer service representative, supervisor, and Deputy Director to Director of Client Services, the position she held for several years prior to her retirement in March 2004. Gray joined FCEF’s BOD in November 2004.


Michael F. Morrison, Treasurer
CFO and Executive Vice President, First Command Financial Services
Arlington, Texas

Morrison started in bank analysis and management in 1978 with Texas American Bancshares, held the position of Senior Vice President Financial Reporting and Planning, and was responsible for all public and internal reporting and planning for this $6 billion organization. Morrison began his career with First Command Financial Planning in May 1995 as an accountant. Over his tenure, he has been promoted numerous times. In January 2007, he was promoted to his current position of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance, Administrative and Banking Services. Morrison joined FCEF’s BOD in June 2007.


Kurt B. Anderson
Retired
Fort Worth, Texas

Ret. Major General Kurt B. Anderson is a thirty two-year, highly decorated Air Force veteran. He joined First Command Financial Planning in 1999 where he served as Director of Personnel and Administration. In January 2006, he advanced to Director of Field Manpower and Training and established the Financial Advisor Recruiting Department. He retired from First Command Financial Services in December 2007. Anderson joined FCEF BOD January, 2008 after his retirement.


Craig M. Badger
Vice President, Enterprise Rent A Car
Keller, Texas

For the past 15 years, Craig has been working for Enterprise-Rent-A Car. He started with the company in New Jersey as a Management Trainee in March of 1994. Today, Badger is Regional Vice President of Fort Worth and the surrounding areas. He oversees 32 locations, 6 areas, and over 300 employees. Badger has been in Texas since 2005 and was instrumental in the Fort Worth region recently being recognized with their first-ever Exceptional Achievement Award. Badger joined FCEF’s BOD in January 2009.


Kim Campbell
Financial Advisor, Edward Jones
Arlington, Texas

Campbell has lived in Arlington, Texas for 25 years. An alumnus of LSU-Shreveport, Campbell is a financial advisor with her Series 7, 63, 66 and her insurance license at Edward Jones. She serves on the leadership committee within her region here in Fort Worth. Campbell is very active with the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce; chairing two networking groups and is active on the Women in Business Steering Committee. She has been an active volunteer at FCEF since May 2007, teaching classes on stocks and investing. Campbell joined FCEF’s BOD in May 2009.


Paul F. Paine
President, Fort Worth South, Inc.
Fort Worth, Texas

Paine was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Paine obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University and a Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. In 1978, he accepted a commission in the United States Navy. Captain Paine retired in 2004 with over twenty six years of naval service. He served as the Commanding Officer of the Fort Worth Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, Carswell Field from 2002-2004. In August 2005, Paine accepted his current position as President of Fort Worth South, Inc. where he is responsible for implementing the strategic plan for the economic revitalization of the near south side of Fort Worth. Paine joined FCEF’s BOD in January 2009.


Dr. Albert L. Reyes

President, Buckner Children and Family Services

Dallas, Texas

Dr. Albert L. Reyes accepted the position as President of Buckner Children and Family Services in January 2007. As a noted visionary, Dr. Reyes is poised to lead Buckner to expand its ministry to needy children and families throughout the United States and internationally. He holds the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Angelo State University; and the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He recently completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Andrews University. Dr. Reyes currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and served as Chairman of the Hispanic Task Force for the U.S. Department of Education from 2003-2005. Dr. Reyes and his wife Belinda have three children. He enjoys reading, writing, camping, movies and travel. Dr. Reyes joined the FCEF's BOD in January 2010.


Paul J. Smith
Retired
Miramar Beach, Florida

After a 26-year career in the Air Force, Smith retired as a Lt. Col. and began his second career as a financial advisor in Montgomery, Alabama with First Command Financial Planning. In 1999, Paul was selected to be the Director of Insurance at First Command's corporate headquarters in Fort Worth. He became a Vice President in the same position in 2000. In 2002, Smith retired as the Director of Agent Development and traveled throughout the field as a motivational speaker and field agent ambassador. In 2007, Paul and his wife, Susan, created a scholarship endowment with FCEF in memory of their son Jay. For more information on this endowment, click here.
Smith joined FCEF’s BOD in January 2008.


Glenn Roberts

Construction Manager, Chevron Energy Solutions Company

Cathedral City, California

Roberts retired from the Air Force as a Lt. Colonel, completing a 20-year career. During this time, he experienced a very eclectic career ranging from Director of Parks, Recreation, and Sports; golf course management, food & beverage management, youth programs, personnel and financial management, construction management, and On-Scene Commander for NASA Space Shuttle landings. Today Roberts brings over 15 years experience in civilian "hands- on" management and management consulting. His career highlights range from preparing and serving breakfast and lunch to Presidents Nixon, Ford and Carter and Mrs. Nancy Reagan; to being selected as the “Best Sports & Recreation Manager” in the Air Force; to developing, co-authoring, publishing and presenting two national workshops on "Strategic Planning" attended by 300+ athletic and country club professionals. Roberts joined FCEF’s BOD in May 2009.
 

Patricia L. Taber

Benbrook Economic Development Corporation

Benbrook, Texas

Taber has resided in the Benbrook/Fort Worth area for 35 years.  For the past 16 years, she has been employed in the real estate industry and prior to that spent 13 years in the oil and gas industry.  Currently, Taber is employed with the Benbrook Economic Development Corporation with the concentration on growth in the Benbrook Community.   She has, in the past, been very involved with the Benbrook Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Benbrook Lions Club.  Taber joined FCEF’s BOD in February, 2010.
 

Doris M. Terrell
Retired
Fort Worth, Texas

A native Texan, Terrell graduated from the University of Houston and went to work for IBM in Houston. Before joining First Command Financial Group, Doris also worked as a teacher, a medical secretary at Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and manager of the Pediatric Orthopedic Department at Children’s Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Terrell completed a successful 18 year career with First Command Financial Group and retired in December 2004 as the Deputy Director of Client Services. Terrell currently is active in the Fort Worth Women’s Club. She enjoys gardening and spending time in the Terrell’s second home in Red River, NM. Terrell joined FCEF’s BOD in April 2006.






Vickie C. Mauldin, Chief Executive Officer

A native of West Virginia, Vickie Mauldin joined FCEF in March 2005 after completing a 30-year career in the United States Air Force. With a multitude of experience in training, education, curriculum development, and leadership she was well prepared to transition, manage, and expand FCEF program services. Mauldin holds degrees in Instructional Technology and Management/Human Resources and has earned numerous awards, honors, and recognition over her lifetime.

Pam Elliott, Executive Assistant/Office Manager

After 30 years in the local banking industry, Pam joined FCEF in March, 2005 as Scholarship Coordinator and Office Assistant.  Since joining FCEF her role changed to Office Manager while also serving as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. Her past banking experience provides financial insight and direction for office operations.

Romy M. Basil, Educational Programs Manager

As the Educational Programs Manager for FCEF, Romy manages the Education Division's projects and programs and works to bring the message of effective money management to FCEF's clients and partners. Romy has helped build several of FCEF educational programs and has worked with community partners to promote the message of Financial Literacy for All. Romy has her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in International Business from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.

Adriane Y. McManus, Scholarship Programs Manager

Adriane, a New Orleans native, joined FCEF in January 2009 and brings with her almost 10 years of experience in the non-profit educational arena as a Community Advocate/Organizer, Program Coordinator, Youth Projects Administrator and Curriculum Developer.  She earned a Bachelors of Communications with a minor in Anthropology from Howard University in 2005. Adriane is inspired by the grassroots model and as Scholarship Programs Manager, she is committed to providing educational opportunities and financial support to under-served and hard-working individuals and communities across the country.

Ingeborg “Inge” J. Lavallee, Development Assistant

Inge joined FCEF in September, 2007 after moving to the US from Germany.  She has enhanced development efforts for FCEF with her knowledge from an eight year association with First Command Financial Planning.  She plays a key role in all fund raising efforts at FCEF.

Shanica Woolridge, Money Matters Coordinator

With a passion for education and communication Shanica has extended experience as an educator and graphic designer. Her experience in the Fort Worth ISD and various other Non-profit organizations provides a unique prospective in program building and contemporary learning trends. As Money Matters Coordinator Shanica will work to implement all elements of the Money Matters (MM) high school curriculum and build partnerships/collaborations with community organizations to grow the program’s success across the state of Texas.

Albert "Al" Godoy, Financial Education Instructor

Al has an M.B.A. and a B.S. in General Engineering from Texas A & M University-Kingsville. He has extensive experience in training & development, human resources, and safety/workers compensation in private industry. In the area of training & development, he has managed a training function, as well as facilitated training classes. Al has been certified as a facilitator/instructor by Development Dimensions International (DDI) and Zenger-Miller.

Tania Williams, Administrative Assistant

Tania is a Fort Worth native and an active volunteer in the community. She joined FCEF in September, 2009. Tania works part time assisting with general office duties and administrative support to various staff members. Using her skills from previous community committees, Tania serves as an integral part of FCEF’s fund raising efforts.
