Financial Literacy for Life is not just the tag line for First Command Education Foundation (FCEF), it’s a way of life. FCEF is passionately committed to ensuring individuals, at all stages of their life, have the knowledge and skills to make an informed, smart decision about their financial wellness. FCEF has worked tirelessly to provide and promote education as the foundation to a productive society through scholarships and financial literacy education. According to a recent Visa survey, 77 percent of parents believe personal money management is a subject “very important” to their children’s lives as adults; second only to writing at 89 percent.

Teaching financial literacy (especially at  an early age) is very important since many consumers today graduated without even a basic knowledge of money management  such as creating and sticking to a budget. Unfortunately, many individuals only learn these skills through the schools of trial and error, as well as “hard knocks.” We here at FCEF understand that one size does not fit all; learning happens in diverse ways and we meet those needs. From educator-developed and educator-approved classroom material, to online assessments and quizzes we’ve got you covered. Investing in us may not give back those financial years some wasted during trial and error, but we  can provide the tools to increase and promote fiscal know-how at life’s “financial crossroads” for you, your family, and the communities in which you live and work.
